- Petrodriver Transportation LLC was formed in September, 2010 by Richard Caldarone. His experience totals 35 years of commercial driving, 9 years as shop steward for USW local 355, along with dispatching and supervisory roles in the petroleum industry.
- With 1 truck and 1 hired driver on October 11, 2010 Petrodriver began delivery services to 14 BP gas stations.
- Petrodriver has grown over the past 13 years delivering petroleum to unbranded and branded service station locations for Exxon Mobil, Shell, Gulf, Citgo, Sunoco, BP, and Irving.
- Petrodriver operates a 12 truck fleet currently servicing the delivery needs of over 500 gas stations and convenience stores for distributors and customers in the Southern New England area.
- May 1, 2014 Petrodriver Transportation LLC receives a Citation from Governor Lincoln D Chafee for early adoption of Health Source RI and the State of RI’s new Health Care Exchange.
- July 9, 2014 Petrodriver Transportation LLC and Richard Caldarone begin filming for a featured spot on an upcoming commercial promoting Health Source RI.
- April 29, 2015 Petrodriver Owner; Richard Caldarone testifies before the RI House Finance Committee about the importance of Health Source RI to small RI businesses, and the need for its continuation.
November 17, 2015 Driver Glen Kelsey is named 2015 RITA "DRIVER OF THE YEAR" and receives his award during the RITA Annual Banquet at The TWIN RIVER EVENT CENTER in Lincoln, RI.
December 2016 Petrodriver Transportation moves into their new facility at 100 Boyd Ave E Prov RI.
November 19, 2017 Petrodriver Transportation is awarded RITA VOLVO Trucks Fleet of the Year.
January 2018 Petrodriver Owner Richard Caldarone is elected to serve on the RITA Board of Directors.
June 2019 Petrodriver moved into new headquarters located at 825 Waterman Ave, E Providence RI
August 2019 Petrodriver Transportation is featured in advertising campaign for HSRI, reflecting the value of their HSRI and business relationship over the last 6 years.
September 2019 Petrodriver Transportation receives Citation Governor Gina Ramondo for 5 years of participation in the HSRI organization.

September 2020 Petrodriver employee, Morgan Caldarone was awarded the RITA Lena Daily Women in Trucking Scholarship. Morgan is the First recipient of the scholarship award.
